ANGER & CONTROL

Anger typically stems from a sense of injustice around a basic need such as acceptance, security or control. It can be closely linked to fear; the fear of losing those needs. We know how easy it is for anger to be self-sustaining, perpetuating itself for years, if not decades. When anger can’t be directed at others, it can be turned back inwards and directed back onto yourself. Because many of these techniques allow for the release of physical tension and anxiety, the quieter, calmer state of mind they produce can indirectly reduce anger, by creating greater perspective. And of course, going directly to the source of the anger or need, re-experiencing it and reframing it through regression of some kind, can be a helpful way of either practicing forgiveness (for self or others) or releasing some of the anger.

Services to Consider
  • Hypnosis & Visualization Progressive muscle relaxation is always a great go-to technique to begin to remove physical tension, in order to open up thinking and perspectives. There are also several visualization techniques which can be useful for seeing situations from the perspective of another, or for imagining releasing unhelpful emotions.

  • Parts Therapy If we explore the source of anger within a parts therapy session, we often find a highly protective part that is still struggling to deal with an old situation on your behalf, as if you were still that age. Giving that part a new role and aligning it fully with your goals can be an effective way to release old anger and frustration.

  • Current Life Regression As the brain can’t easily differentiate between reality and something vividly imagined, returning back to an old vividly imagined memory can give you the opportunity to say or do the things you couldn’t say or do at the time, access new qualities that you didn’t have then and receive the support of your current wiser self. This type of activity can help rewrite the experience, making it easier for you to release it.

  • Past Life Regression An alternative to going back into your current life, especially if you’re unsure where the anger comes from, is to go to the source of anger in a past life. This could be to the life of a victim, enabling you to experience some cathartic anger release or to the life of the perpetrator, helping give you awareness of the situation from another perspective. Both can be thought-provoking and releasing.

  • Womb Regression / Between Lives Spiritual Regression Both of these services can help you release anger by giving you access to a wider view of your life. Having more of a sense of the overall plan for your life and the reasons why everything has happened as it has, can help you to stop sweating the small stuff, letting go of unhelpful thoughts and feelings that no longer serve you.  These sessions are especially helpful if family or relationship issues are at the source of your anger.

2-3 sessions are recommended. Sessions are offered on Zoom, to suit most time zones. Book a free 30-min coffee chat to discuss your goals and find out more.
