What is past life regression?

Agnostic therapeutic past life regression (PLR) uses gentle hypnotherapy to explore past life events that might be connected to present-day symptoms, issues, phobias, unexplained pains, recurring life situations, or behavioural patterns. By safely reliving and releasing these experiences during a session, someone may find relief from current problems, which can be deeply healing. For instance, someone with unexplained headaches could uncover a past life with a traumatic head injury. Their symptoms may improve once this past event experience is recognized, understood, and let go of. Whether these past lives are real or imagined is up to each person; all perspectives are respected and do not impact the process or results.

What is a session like?

The session focuses more on releasing and reframing unresolved emotions and exploring potential links to present life relationship patterns, rather than on uncovering specific historical facts. The session demonstrates how the process can work even for a less spiritually inclined 'regular guy'.

How does it work?

Releasing 

Past life regressions aim to release the distress of unhelpful fears, phobias, emotions or physical concerns. The process either aims to identify the past life source of specific emotions such as fear, anger, sadness or guilt, or allows the subconscious/higher mind itself to select the past life experience that can offer the most meaningful insights into present day issues. For a gentler introduction, the intention may be set to access a positive past life experience.

Once you've entered into your past life, you'll be gently led through the most significant events of that life and then guided just beyond its conclusion. You'll explore relationships from that lifetime, express any unspoken thoughts or emotions, and reflect on important life lessons learned, ensuring nothing is left unresolved. 

Rehearsing

Most past life regressions focus on releasing, but you may also wish to explore rehearsal type past life regressions, seeking out experiences that are lacking or unfamiliar in your current life—such as a secure loving childhood, a healthy romantic relationship, abundance and success, or even the experience of being neurotypical. Because the brain struggles to distinguish between reality and vivid imagination, anything deeply imagined can feel like an actual memory. While there are no guarantees, intentionally visiting a past life to mentally practice certain experiences, qualities, or traits with which you have little familiarity may be beneficial, making them easier to attract into your real life. This method also allows you to explore and potentially develop particular skills or talents, such as writing, art, or music, or to vividly imagine living in a particular culture or historical era.

Wisdom & insight

After the ending of the life, every past life experience concludes with a reflection on the lessons learnt which can be applied to one's current life. Regardless of where clients believe this wisdom originates—whether it's the higher mind, subconscious, superconscious, God or spirit guides—the guidance received is often objective, neutral, and seemingly ancient, offering valuable insights relevant to present-day challenges. Viewing present life issues from the perspective of a different life with its own specific problems can provide new, unique and diverse understandings. Just one past life regression session can yield numerous moments of insight, all with minimal conscious effort.  

Entering into a past life

Most past life regressions begin with a guided relaxation, helping you to calm your mind and body. You may then be led to cross a symbolic threshold—like mist, a bridge, or a tunnel—where you simply 'step into' your past life self.

 

Another approach into a past life is through the use of age and womb regression. This involves guiding you back along your own timeline to revisit early positive or neutral childhood memories, before exploring pre-natal 'memories' from the womb, before journeying even further back down your time line into a past life. 

 

If you are feeling jaded by life, then recalling long forgotten childhood memories through age regression can be wonderfully refreshing. If you had a difficult childhood, recalling neutral memories can provide some healing. Similarly, womb regression can reconnect you with feelings of pure joy and excitement about the life to come. It can also provide access to insight, wisdom and perspective, help heal fractured maternal relationships and release maternal energetic projections such as mother's fear or anxiety. Whilst typically a brief part of a past life induction, age and womb regression can also be helpful therapies in their own right. 

As soon as you 'arrive' into a past life, you will quickly become aware of your surroundings, clothing, era, age and gender. You may 'see' all of this in your mind's eye or just have a sense of knowing it in some way. You will easily be able to describe your clothes, know where you are and what you are doing and be aware of how you (they) are feeling. Each time you are moved forward to the next significant event in that past life, new details readily come to mind and are easily described with minimal conscious effort. 

The experience

No matter your personal beliefs, most people are able to experience past life regression. The essential skills include following directions, imagining freely, and openly exploring any images, sensations, feelings, or instinctive insights that arise. As with any skill, you can improve with practice, so future regressions often become easier to enter into and feel more vivid. Listening to the practice audios in guided relaxations can help you train your mind to relax, making initial regressions easier to acess. Like all forms of hypnotherapy and regression, you remain in control at all times—you can't be forced to do or say anything against your will, nor can you get stuck in a trance if Zoom cuts out. You'll likely remember everything from the session and any emotions will rapidly fade. The session is as safe as a guided daydream. Afterwards, you'll receive an audio recording and AI summary of your session.

Past life experiences often feel vivid, real and emotional, but each person’s experiences of past lives are unique. It's up to you to determine whether such experiences are real or created by your subconscious for learning. 

Virtual sessions lasting 2-hrs are offered to accommodate different global time zones. We will typically focus on one main issue per session, but positive effects often extend to other areas of life as well. Most clients see good results within 1-3 sessions, which may involve multiple services. Please be aware that I work exclusively with motivated individuals who are dedicated to making genuine changes in their lives.​
